Americans do not like either of the leading candidates running for President; Hillary Clinton (on the Democratic side) or Donald Trump (on the Republican side) in 2016.
Donald Trump has a stronger unfavorable rating to him than Hillary Clinton, but the dislike for Hillary is declining quickly as well. Unfortunately, the presidential election in 2016 could very well come down to these two candidates, even though more Americans are finding these candidates more unfavorable each and every day.
Clinton has even seen ratings as low as (-17 points) and she's seen these ratings as recently as the middle of December.
Look for yourself in the chart below...
There is someone however that is standing out in the eye's of the American public. And that man is Bernie Sanders, who has recently seen a favorability ranking as high as (+10) according to the latest CNN poll in December.
Could Bernie Sanders be the next President of the United States? If you ask the mainstream media, it's not likely, but if you look at the favorability polls, Bernie Sanders has started to sky rocket in Hillary's demise.
In fact, Bernie Sanders has had the complete opposite effect compared to Hillary Clinton, whose numbers continue to decline.
Bernie Sanders support has surged since announcing he would be running for President in April of last year, and Bernie Sanders has seen 3.5 fold increase in support in California alone, since announcing.
He also holds a huge 14-point lead in New Hampshire, and is faring very well in other early primary/caucus states. Furthermore, It seems that Bernie Sanders performs very well in places that are the most well-informed and up-to-date on politics; such as Iowa and New Hampshire, where all of the attention is on the 2016 elections.
If Bernie Sanders keeps up this momentum, don't be surprised to see a domino-effect take place, and Bernie Sanders take the nomination from Hillary Clinton.
