According to the latest CBS News/YouGov poll released, Bernie Sanders is boasting a 14% lead over Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire. This is a completely different and changed environment from this summer, in which Hillary Clinton had leads as large as 44% in this state in May.

This news is huge for the Sanders campaign as New Hampshire will be the second state in the country to vote for their candidate in the 2016 Democratic Primaries on February 9th, which is right after Iowa on February 1st. Interesting enough, Sanders is surging in Iowa too at the moment, hauling in 45% of the vote in the last poll that was released.

The current political environment is a lot different than many thought headed into the Christmas holiday season. Many mainstream media outlets this summer commonly referred to Hillary as the "eventual nominee" almost a full year before any single person had casted a vote. We are just now starting to see raised speculation in the mainstream media's news-outlets to if Hillary can finish the race unscathed.

All of this momentum in Iowa and New Hampshire for Bernie Sanders is very thought-provoking to how the entire race may turn out. It’s very likely that you could see Bernie Sanders only winning two out of the fifty states in this election, based on current poll numbers, but you may also see a domino-effect take place in which the Bernie Sanders campaign builds an insane amount of momentum from winning the first two states.

Only time will tell, but the momentum is definitely on Bernie Sanders side as he is faring extremely well in the states that matter right now.
