An entire neighborhood planned for a month learning sign language for a beautiful surprise for one of their deaf neighbors, Muharrem Ozlem. For anyone who is deaf, or hard of hearing - getting people to understand you must be incredibly difficult. One morning Ozlem received a huge surprise when everyone passing by spoke to him - in sign language.
The entire effort was set up by Samsung and the Leo Burnett Ad Agency who spent a month setting up cameras and teaching people sign language in this Istanbul neighborhood, all to just surprise Muharrem Ozlem.
This ad is for Samsung's new call center for the deaf and hard of hearing in Turkey and shows an incredibly kind gesture that I'm sure Muharrem Ozlem will never forget.
